We are an artificial jewellery brand! We specialise in making artisanal, fusion pieces. Crafted fully in Lahore, Pakistan by local outsourced labour.

Makaan 29 was actually the house number of one of our co-founders' home; a viraasat ka ghar passed down two generations.

Inspite of having her own house, the other co-founder incidentally found a home within the walls of this makaan as well. What can we say...it was a cozy, welcoming space.

The house wasn't enough to live any longer in, but significant enough to keep alive forever.

This brand is a tribute to the bones of our ideas behind each piece. The wooden drawers full of beads, trinkets and remnants of jewellery piling up as little gifts from nani over the years are now found in Makaan's catalogue. This is what Makaan29 is about.
